Rhyming Words

What are rhyming words?

Rhyming words have the same sound at the end.
The ending of the word might have the same spelling.
Examples: cat/hat, book/look, frog/log
Looking at word families is one way to learn about rhyming words.  Words that have the same chunk of letters at the end are in a family.
Examples: -ot family (hot, pot), -an family (can, fan)
Other words do not have the same spelling at the end, but they sound the same at the end.
Examples: sky/high, light/kite
